So you've got a Compsoc account and now you want to be able to log in to the server.

Firstly you need to download PuTTy, an SSH client and it allows you to connect to riviera and execute commands to run programs and execute tasks.

First you open putty and enter the settings as below, ie. enter in the "Hostname" box " This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it " (replacing "username" with your username of course!) and select "SSH" from the "Protocol" options.

A security popup asking if you trust the server key will usually appear, click "Yes" to continue to login.

You should then be prompted to enter your password, and you are now logged into the server!

If you are using Linux, this is even easier, you simply need to run the command,
